Regional Medical Center Partners with OPAC to Bring Holiday Magic to the 2025 Christmas Movie Festival

Nov 24, 2025

For Immediate Release

Oxford, Alabama — The Oxford Performing Arts Center is pleased to announce that Regional Medical Center (RMC) will serve as a sponsor of two beloved films in OPAC’s 2025 Christmas Movie Festival. Thanks to RMC’s generous support, the community can enjoy free screenings of How the Grinch Stole Christmas on December 22 and Elf on December 23.

RMC’s partnership reflects its ongoing mission to promote the health and well-being of families across East Alabama. This includes supporting accessible arts experiences for all. OPAC’s captioned movie showings—presented at 4:00 pm each day—have long been valued by members of the local Deaf and hard-of-hearing community. RMC’s commitment to accessible programming aligns closely with the importance of communication access as a component of whole-person health.

Each film will be shown twice daily: a 4:00 pm screening with captions and a 7:00 pm screening without captions. Families are also invited to visit with Santa from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm before each evening show.

OPAC is grateful to Regional Medical Center for helping make this year’s Christmas Movie Festival brighter, more accessible, and welcoming for the entire community.
