Community at OPAC

The Oxford Performing Arts Center is more than a venue — it’s a gathering place where the arts, education, and community come together. Through free events, public programs, and partnerships, OPAC serves as a cultural hub for Oxford and East Alabama.

Free Movies

Throughout the year, OPAC presents free movie screenings for the community. These events feature classic films, family favorites, and seasonal specials that bring people together for a fun and relaxed night out. Admission and parking are free, making these evenings an easy and enjoyable way to experience the arts close to home.

Studio Rentals

Our Studio at OPAC is available for community use and special events, including meetings, rehearsals, recitals, and private gatherings. Equipped with flexible seating and professional amenities, the space provides an affordable option for local organizations, artists, and groups in need of a creative environment.

Free Community Events

OPAC regularly hosts free events designed to connect people and celebrate our community. From open houses and tours to outdoor concerts and seasonal festivals, these gatherings reflect our mission to make the arts accessible to everyone.

Alabama Children’s Museum & Discovery Center

OPAC is proud to support the development of the Alabama Children’s Museum and Discovery Center — an exciting new addition to downtown Oxford that will provide interactive learning experiences for children and families. Together, these two facilities will form a creative corridor dedicated to education, discovery, and the arts.

Volunteer Program

Volunteers are an essential part of OPAC’s success. From greeting guests and assisting at performances to helping with educational and community programs, our volunteers bring warmth and hospitality to every event. Anyone with a passion for the arts and community service is welcome to get involved.
