Education has always been at the core of the Oxford Performing Arts Center’s mission. Beyond the stage, we are dedicated to creating experiences that inspire learning, creativity, and artistic growth across all ages.
 

The Alabama Children’s Museum & Discovery Center

The Alabama Children’s Museum and Discovery Center will bring hands-on learning and creativity to downtown Oxford. Designed for families and children of all ages, the museum will feature interactive galleries, exhibits, and educational programs that encourage exploration and imagination. Located just steps from OPAC, the museum strengthens our shared vision of making Oxford a center for learning, play, and discovery in East Alabama.

Rubato International Piano Competition

The Rubato International Piano Competition welcomes young pianists from around the world to perform and grow on our stage. Open to classical and jazz performers, Rubato celebrates artistic excellence and provides young musicians with opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and community engagement. The competition continues to place Oxford on the global map as a destination for exceptional musical talent and education.

Steinway Select Studio / School for the Arts

As a designated Steinway Select Studio, OPAC is part of a network of institutions recognized for excellence in piano performance and education. This designation reflects our commitment to high standards in music instruction and access to world-class instruments. The School for the Arts initiative builds on that foundation, offering classes, workshops, and training programs designed to nurture young musicians and artists throughout the region.
