Visual Arts at OPAC

The Oxford Performing Arts Center is home to two distinctive gallery spaces that celebrate visual art and the artists who create it — The Martin-Lett Gallery of Art and The Wren’s Nest Gallery.

The Martin-Lett Gallery of Art

Located off the main lobby of the Oxford Performing Arts Center, the Martin-Lett Gallery of Art presents rotating exhibitions featuring regional, national, and international artists. The gallery offers visitors an opportunity to experience visual art in a welcoming public setting and provides artists a professional venue to share their work with new audiences. Exhibitions change throughout the year and highlight a variety of styles and mediums — from painting and photography to sculpture and mixed media.

The Wren’s Nest Gallery

The Wren’s Nest Gallery serves as the home gallery of internationally renowned wildlife artist Dr. Larry K. Martin. Known for his vivid and detailed depictions of birds and nature, Dr. Martin’s work has been collected and exhibited around the world. The gallery features a rotating selection of his pieces, as well as educational displays celebrating Alabama’s natural heritage and artistic traditions.

Together, these galleries create an ongoing connection between the performing and visual arts — enriching the cultural experience for every visitor to OPAC.
