Mysteries of Ancient Egypt- October 15, 2018

Recommended for K to 3rd Grade

This performance will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 during Calhoun County and City of Oxford Fall Break. Public school shows are not available for registration. Plesae click here to purchase tickets to the 6:00 p.m. evening show.

Inside and old trunk in Grandma's attic, Jesse and Bobby find an ancient Egyptian amulet. A famed Egyptologist, Grandma had dozens of journals about Egypt tucked away, too. But what is the meaning of the hieroglyphs inscribed on the amulet, or the scribled notes found in those journals? Before thy know it, the children are magically transported back to ancient Egypt in 620 BC where they meet Sema-tawy-tefnakht, a scribe to King Pasamtik I. With his guidance, our two heroes unravel their mystery. Along the way they meet King Psamtik I and his daughter the Princess Nitocris. Jesse and Bobby travel with thte Princess and the scribe on their fateful journey up the Nile to Thebes. Eventually, Sema-tawy-tefnakht and his Egyptian friends help Jesse and Bobby find their way home.

In this wonderful story, Santa's helpers are putting the final touches on presents as a young bird name Max and his family head south for the winter. Poor Max gets blown off course during a snowstorm, and he ends up alone and lost at the North Pole. As he tries to make his way home, his advenutre begins when he encounters friendly caroling worms, dancing poinsettias, Nutcracker soldiers, mischievous mice and an evil Rat King. This delightful holiday production will make children wide-eyed with delight and warm even the sammlest of hearts.

Peter Pan by Jacksonville Opera Theatre- January 10, 2019- 8:30 AM or 11:30 AM

Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre - March 4, 2019- 11:30 AM

The Popovich Comedy Pet Theatre is entertainment for the whole family, featuring the unique blend of comedy and juggling skills of former Moscow Circus veteran Gregory Popovich and the extraordinary talents of his performing pets. His entourage consists of world-class jugglers, Diamond the Sheland Pony and over 30 performing pets including house cats and dogs (all rescued from animal shelters!), geese, white doves and parrots.
