Oxford Performing Arts Center launches new website

Mar 14, 2017

The Oxford Performing Arts Center is excited to announce that its brand new website went live early in the morning on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.  North Carolina-based web development firm, Carbonhouse, was selected to design and build the new website.  Carbonhouse worked closely with our staff to help us make this leap forward in mobile and responsive design.

John Longshore, OPAC Executive Director, said, "Carbonhouse has developed websites for some of the most successful venues in the world including Phillips Arena in Atlanta and the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.  We are thrilled to bring a new web presence that more closely reflects the excellent experience our patrons enjoy during performances."

According to Longshore, the site loads almost 80% faster than the previous website and has far more advanced security features. "Patrons need to feel comfortable purchasing tickets online and we have a responsibility to provide the highest level of digital security for those purchases.  Given that our internet ticket sales amount to well over a quarter-million in annual revenue, it was clear we needed to make a serious investment in our site."

The new oxfordpac.org has exciting new features including:

  • Photo Galleries
  • More in-depth event listings
  • Search features
  • Group ticket ordering
  • Dramatically improved e-commerce security
