Our goal in "Motor City" is to bring back great memories and educate the audience about the music they hear everywhere. Whether in an elevator, shopping in a store, watching a commercial break in your daily program, or enjoying a movie, you are bound to hear a song from the Motown catalog.

When Berry Gordy decided to take total control of his songs on January 12, 1959, he borrowed $800 from his family’s loan fund to start his own record label, called Tamla. Eventually, this became Motown. If Berry Gordy could accomplish so much with so little, Motor City is honored to share his gift to the world. We give you 8 of his greatest artists in one night! From the Supremes to the Temptations! From Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell to Smokey Robinson and the Miracles to name a few!
