Avenue South

Event Details

The Avenue South Band is composed of seasoned musicians and vocalists with each having over 25 years experience in the industry. From former members of the JSU Marching Southerners to recording at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, to appearing as “the band in the bar and Catfish Festival” in the film Sweet Home Alabama, they have performed on stages and sets across the nation.

In previous bands, they have also opened for major acts including Jennifer Nettles,
Brantley Gilbert, Kentucky Headhunters, Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Tim McGraw,
Blackberry Smoke, Train, Montgomery Gentry, Confederate Railroad, No Doubt, Jason Aldean, Three Doors Down, and Trace Adkins, to name a few.

They came together in 2022 to form the Avenue South Band, simply because they
love to play challenging, fun, and moving music. They could not pigeon hole
themselves into one genre, because great music crosses all genres. Avenue South
loves to pay homage to snippets of 60’s soul, 70’s rock and disco (yes..both), 80’s
classic and dance hits, and a few 90’s and 2000 hits. They may even throw in a
Johnny Cash tune as well! You never know what song will come next, and they like it like that!!

From the Cherokee/Etowah area, their strengths lie in their abilities to play challenging music, entertain, uplift, and have fun with an audience. If Avenue South can inspire audiences to forget their problems and enjoy the night, they feel they have done their job. You are guaranteed to find something you love in their set. They look forward to taking this musical journey with you!!
