Join the Atlanta Pops for a captivating journey to the Big Easy as we celebrate jazz culture in a brand-new show titled, “A Night In New Orleans.” Get ready to break out the Mardi Gras traditions as we enjoy music from the classics of Louis Armstrong to the contemporary hits of New Orleans Rhythm and Blues, Soul, and Jazz. The Atlanta Pops orchestra has entertained Oxford audiences for several years with a variety of innovative programs including ‘Sounds of the Night’ for Halloween and ‘A Gatsby Garden Party’ with music of the 1930’s bringing back the days of prohibition! This February the Pops bring Bourbon Street, Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras to the stage of OPAC; brass band and all! Get out those beads and wear your most colorful duds as the Atlanta Pops Orchestra conjures up all that is New Orleans!
