Backstage Tours
The OPAC Production Department offers free, behind-the-scenes tours of the Oxford Performing Arts Center.
Ever wondered what it’s like on the other side of the curtain? Theater tour availability is dependent on our event schedule. To request a complimentary tour of our venue, use the reservation request form below. Tours are offered on Mondays at 4:00 PM and Wednesdays at 10:00 AM.
Highlights of the tour include:
- Information about the Performing Arts Center’s architecture, history, and state-of-the-art technology that brings it to life.
- A walk through the theater, from the lobby to the stage, including glimpses into private dressing rooms and spaces not open to the public.
- A glimpse at the 1950's era jail cells which are still located in the basement from when our building served as a police station.
- Depending on schedule, the loading in or out of a production.
Tours last approximately thirty minutes and are conducted at no cost.
