Event Details
Downtown Oxford is getting a free live music night this spring. Sweet Tea, an Alabama-based country group with major-stage credentials and a harmony-driven sound, will perform at Simmons Park on Friday, April 17 at 6:00 PM — no ticket required.
Rooted in traditional country with a modern edge, Sweet Tea has built a devoted following through years of touring and high-profile opening slots for artists including Bon Jovi, Alabama, Kid Rock, Tracy Lawrence, Deana Carter, Scotty McCreery, Parker McCollum, and RaeLynn. Their music has been produced by Kid Rock, with their Sugar Rush EP earning them a No. 29 charting single on the MusicRow Chart with "All Hat, No Cattle."
The group is known for tight harmonies and an energetic live show that holds its own on any size stage, and now they're bringing it to Simmons Park for an evening open to the whole community.
The concert is free and open to the public. Food trucks will be on site. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair and enjoy the evening.
The event is co-presented by the Oxford Performing Arts Center, the Oxford Arts Council, and Historic Main Street Oxford.
