The original other half of the duo, Bobby Hatfield, died in 2003. When one half of your famous duo passes away, it can be challenging to forge ahead even when your heart yearns for the type of music you've been living your entire life. And then, sometimes, a chance comes along that allows you to revisit your favorites with the same sort of loving feeling. For Bill Medley, the chance to resurrect the Righteous Brothers after the death of longtime singing partner came out of the blue when he went to see a friend perform.
